Founded in London in 1901, Bryant Symons has a long and celebrated history of working with the defence and automobile industries. The company significantly contributed to the development of pistons for aero engines during World War II, and later developed more complex piston shapes for petrol and diesel engines for the automobile industry.
Throughout the ’70s and ’80s the company designed and manufactured air bearing facing lathes for finishing the substrates of computer memory discs.
Since 1990, the company has focused on producing precision machinery, incorporating the use of diamond technology. Now operating in Grantham, UK.
